    Endicott Endicott is gearing up this week for the town-wide garage sale, which will be on Saturday, May 18, from 8 a.m. until noon. Maps of garage sale places will be available at the Endicott Food Center for people to pick up. To keep buyers going during the sale, the Community Club will have a bake sale at Endicott Food Center with all proceeds going to Relay For Life. Plans for the annual July 4 celebration in Endicott are underway. The first planning meeting was May 15. Anyone interested in helping can contact Gail Bilow or Anne Lowe....

    Endicott Endicott’s Library has been remodeled and re-opened April 26. The day started with the Children’s Story Time. The children colored, listened to stories and worked on an art project. They enjoyed the new seating and the great lighting. Endicott residents working on the Whitman Hospital Auxiliary’s Spring Festival include Helen Jane Hughes, Carol Mitcham, Jerine Grey and Anne Lowe.     Endicott Margaret Schmick’s pre-school class and helpers strolled one block from their classroom at the Endicott School to the garden of Sharon Huff to plant potatoes and onions April 18. Every year pre-schoolers make this trek in the spring. In September they again go to the garden to harvest the potatoes and onions.     Endicott Floyd Morasch celebrated his 90th birthday Saturday, April 6, at Trinity Lutheran Church. The party was hosted by his children, Jimmy Morasch and Kathy Dupries and their families.     Endicott Endicott/St. John Middle school students in olympia Sue Lynch, a middle school teacher from Endicott Middle School, and eight chaperones took 32 Endicott/St. John Middle School students on a field trip to Olympia, Seattle and Tacoma Feb. 18-20. In Seattle on the first day of the trip, they visited Pike Street Market and Underground Seattle. Tuesday, in Olympia they visited the Capitol building, then split into grade groups.     Endicott Tom Byers and Don Lust were best neighbors and friends for a lot of years. Tom spotted a broken bench by the grocery store and decided to restore it for use. So, he took it home, welded, painted and replaced the wood in memory of Don Lust. It even took on Cougar colors, since both men are Cougar fans. This is the result: a Cougar colored bench with a memorial placque that reads “In Memory of Don Lust.” People using that bench can remember Tom and Don working around town on a multitude of projects for the community.     Endicott Former long-time Endicott resident Joyce Lust was named Resident Volunteer at Harbor Crest senior living community in Spokane for December. She often plays the piano at the lobby of Harbor Crest. Joyce grew up and lived in Endicott for nearly 80 years. She married her high school sweetheart, Wayne Lust, and they had three girls and three boys. They were married for 54 years until he passed away.
