PULLMAN — A 5K race, 3-on-3 basketball tournament, adult softball tournament and a pickle ball tournament are all set to take place Saturday, August 19, for Pullman’s Lentil Festival. COLFAX — The Colfax Municipal Pool, located near Schmuck Park, has received a grant from the Youth Athletic Facilities Program. The $350,000 grant was given to the pool to aid in upcoming projects. MALDEN — Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission Grant Awarded $2,018,261 for improvement of the Palouse to Cascades Trail. State Parks will use the grant to improve the five mile stretch on the trail between Malden and the historic site known as Kenova. This section of the trail includes three trestles that burned in a 2020 fire.
