    PULLMAN — After starting the 2024 NCAA baseball season hot, the Washington State University (WSU) baseball team lost two-of-three against the Utah Utes. The series was played Friday, March 8, through Sunday, March 10. The lone win for WSU in the series was the opening game, where WSU earned the 7-1 victory. In the game, starting pitcher Grant Taylor went six innings, allowing one run on five hits with five strikeouts. He also walked four batters and hit one.     COLFAX — Starting Friday, March 15, the Whitman County track and field 2024 season will officially be underway. The Colfax Bulldogs track and field team will compete on Friday, March 15, in the Sweeney Invitational. The meet will take place in Lewiston, and will see the field events start at 10 a.m., and the track events will start at 11 a.m. There will be 20 total teams at the invitational.
