    Dusty Cross Country musical group will present the morning worship service at Selbu Lutheran Church Sunday, Oct. 26. Services begin at 10 a. m. Word has been received of the death of Laurette Stueckle McCaw of Waitsburg Oct. 6, 2014. She was born June 7, 1930, in Dusty, the youngest of seven children, of the late Jacob J. and Martha Weber Stueckle. In 1936, the family moved to the Prescott area where her father farmed near Clyde. She traveled with her daughter Debbie Hopkins and her niece Gayle Bonta to Sun Valley to watch “The Trailing of the Sheep.” This annual event commemorates the area’s agricultural past by running bands of sheep through town to join bigger herds the way they used to move them to new pasture.     Dusty Kim and Cindy Pitts spent from Sept. 26 to Oct. 4 in Boise with their daughter’s family, Jen and Ryan Hammons and Kellen, Becket and Willa. While there, they watched all three grandchildren play in their respective soccer games. To celebrate Cindy’s birthday, Kim gifted her with a day at Horseshoe Bend going through six zip line runs.     Dusty Steve and Becky Camp hosted a family reunion this past weekend for 68 members of the Largent-Lukins families, Steve’s maternal branch of the family. Special guests were Steve’s mother, Donna Camp, and her brother Richard Lukins of Portland. It was the first family reunion in 30 years. Relatives came from as far away as South Carolina and Montana.     Dusty Art and Colene Sager spent a week in Loveland, Colo., at an International Flying Farmers Convention. A highlight of this trip was a bus tour to Glenwood Springs, Colo., for an overnight at a hot springs resort. The following day, the group rode Amtrak train back to Denver and a tour bus on return to Loveland. Both the bus and train ride had lovely scenery as it went through the Continental Divide in the Rocky Mountains.     Dusty Saturday, Karen Broeckel, accompanied by her sisters Jeanette Nolan of Colfax and Patty Wieber of Spokane, attended the funeral services of Cpl. Justin Clouse of Sprague at the Life Center Church in Spokane. The 22-year-old soldier was killed in Afghanistan along with four of his fellow soldiers on June 9. Clouse was the great-great-nephew of the women’s mother, Amelia Schaal Broeckel.
