    Dusty A week ago Tuesday, David and Phyllis Stueckle were in Kennewick to visit an old Navy buddy of David’s. It has been 60 years since the men last saw each other. The Stueckles also attended some of the state basketball tournament games in Spokane.     Dusty Tony and Denise Kendall, Tacoma, spent the last part of her winter break from teaching in the University Place District at the home of her father, Oscar Broeckel, and her twin sister’s home, Doreen and Tom Riedner, in Genesee. The Kendalls arrived at her father’s Thursday evening and spent Friday night at the Riedners. Saturday, the women celebrated their joint birthday.   • Camp duo attends Clean Energy Confab

    Dusty Steve and Becky Camp attended the Harvesting Clean Energy Conference for the western states this month. Their organization, C Farms Energy, received an award as the Innovator of the Year for the state of Washington for their biodiesel project. They also both picked up the flu while they were in Oregon. News has been received of the death last week of Tony Balsa of San Jose, Calif. He was the husband of Dusty native Helen Scheideman Balsa. They had four children, one of whom preceded him in death. David attended the Farm Bureau Legislative Days in Olympia. Linda Hennigar spent Thursday through Saturday at the home of her daughter Tami and Jay Banks in Kennewick.     Dusty Art and Colene Sager flew to Moses Lake for a pilot safety seminar on Saturday. This is an annual event sponsored by Washington Flying Farmers, Big Bend College and the FAA. This seminar provides the pilot with the FAA requirements for the written biennial review. To complete the biennial review, the instructor must fly with the pilot and sign the logbook.     Dusty Wes and Jen Claassen spent four days in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, celebrating their 40th birthdays and 17th wedding anniversary in mid-January. It was their first vacation in three years by themselves; no kidlets. After the Mexico trip, Jen went to Branson, Mo., from Jan. 17 through the 23 to spend time with her parents.     Dusty Wednesday, Jan 9, nine members of the Dusty B.B. Club, and two guests, Alice and Margaret Mackleit, met in the parish hall at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in LaCrosse to make baby blankets for the free maternity clinic at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane. Seventy blankets were produced that day plus Dianne Appel had seven she had made earlier. The next meeting will be February 13th.     Dusty Justin Ross, a student at Moody Bible Institute in the aviation division, had lunch with Art and Colene Sager last Wednesday. Justin is a distant cousin of Art Sager. Word has been received of the death of Gunelia Stueckle Fowler, Boise, daughter of the late Edwin and Anna Stueckle.
