    Dusty Dusty B.B. Club met last Wednesday in the home of hostess Helen Appel. Joyce Appel was co-hostess. Wanda Alderman of Steptoe presented a program on Pysanda eggs, a Ukranian art form of decorating Easter eggs in intricate patterns using beeswax and successive dyes of different colors. The next meeting will be Tuesday, April 10 for a tour of the wind turbines near Pomeroy and Dayton. Husbands and other guests are welcome.     Dusty Valente Reynoso, eldest son of Heathermarie Heaton Reynoso and Jaimie Reynoso of Mexico City and grandson of Blake and Carmen Heaton, won the long jump competition Saturday in an invitational track meet in Mexico City. He was invited to the meet because he is the top athlete at the school he attends, Lancaster School. His younger brother Jeronimo, also participated in the meet as the second best athlete at their school. Jeronimo placed second in the javelin throw. Last Sunday, David and Phyllis Stueckle took Phyllis’s sister, Ann Emerson, to Olympia to visit Ann’s daughter, Heidi Jones.     Dusty Oscar Broeckel, Karen Broeckel, John and Kay Krom and Greta Stueckle, locals and former locals, were among the many who attended a reception, hosted by Dr. Rob Smith and his staff, honoring Jeanette Nolan’s retirement in the Norma McGregor Room of the Whitman County Library last Friday. Nolan began her dental assistant career in January of 1955. She took some time off to raise her two children, Greg and Pam Nolan Beasley, but worked most of the intervening years until last summer.     Dusty Kim and Cindy Pitts were in Boise during Martin Luther King, Jr.’s, weekend to help their grandson, Kellen Hammons, son of Ryan and Jen Hammons, celebrate his sixth birthday. Their daughter Carrie Pitts, Renton, flew to Boise to join them for the weekend. Dusty B.B. Club met at the LaCrosse Catholic Church parish hall in January where they made 42 baby blankets for the free maternity clinic at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane.     Dusty Annual meeting of The Country Bible Church followed worship services Sunday. They have decided to help sponsor the Scott Edinger family which is serving a mission in Rwanda. Scott’s parents, Palmer and Betty Edinger, are members of the congregation. Mr. and Mrs. Scott Edinger have their three children with them.     Dusty Kathy Atwood of West Los Angeles, her son Kevin and daughter Lucy hosted a celebration of the life of their mother/grandmother, Kathleen Scholz, at the Country Bible Church Saturday afternoon.     Dusty Guests visit from Twin Falls Steve and Fran Maki hosted Mike and Val Quesnell of Twin Falls, Idaho, friends since their college days, from Thursday to Saturday last week. Friday, they toured the Pataha Flour Mill in Pomeroy.     Dusty Art and Colene Sager flew to Yakima Saturday to join approximately 25 other Flying Farmers for a tour of the Cub Crafters Airplane Factory. The man who started the company gave them a two hour tour of the facility. They employ 110 people at the plant and make all of their own parts. Luncheon speakers were Mike and Tami Bryne who told about their retirement activity of ferrying the Cub Crafters airplanes to Alaska. Bryne grew up in Garfield.     Dusty Braaten Nilsen, five and a half month old son of Ryan and Kjirsti Erickson Nilsen, of Torrington, Conn., and grandson of Norm and Gloria Erickson died last Saturday.
