  • Gully washer hits Dusty area

    Dusty Dusty area was inundated with a gully washer on New Year’s Day. Close to an inch of rain fell in about 20 minutes resulting in water and mud running over the highway, washing out lanes and depositing mud in sheds and other locations.     Dusty Wes, Jen, Bo and Lauren Claassen spent a week in Branson, Mo., over Christmas with Jen’s family. All of her siblings, nieces and nephews were able to join them.     Dusty One Dusty family traveled Dec. 20 to the Tucannon campground for Christmas trees. Luke, Jennifer, Myshala and Quincy Morris, Keith and Sally Morris and Bridgett and Chad Hocutt and Hope and Miriam of Spokane, went to the Tucannon campground to cut three Christmas trees. Myshala cut the tree for her family by herself. They also roasted marshmallows and hot dogs.     Dusty Dusty B.B. Club will meet at 9:30 a.m. today, Dec. 10, at the Wilcox Grange for their December meeting. They will decorate the grange for their annual Christmas party.     Dusty Approximately 70 guests gave Kathleen Scholz best wishes last week at a party in her home to celebrate her 100th birthday.     Dusty Kathy Atwood, Los Angeles, has been visiting her mother, Kathleen Scholz, and her son Kevin Atwood since the beginning of November. Her daughter Lucy Atwood and Lucy’s fiancé, Jeff Rosenthal of Malibu, arrived at the Scholz home last Saturday. Kathleen’s eldest daughter, Claudia Ebling of Seattle, arrived Monday.   • Sagers tour training site for Flying Farmers meet

    Dusty Art and Colene Sager attended a Flying Farmers meeting at Felts Field in Spokane Saturday. The group toured the Moody Bible Institute Aviation Program where missionary pilots are trained and the Spokane Turbine Center where they fly the Kodiac airplane made in Sandpoint.     Dusty Dusty B.B. Club met last week Tuesday at the home of Li Ochs where they made more than 30 baby blankets for the free maternity clinic at Providence Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane.
