Lamont Harvest started in the Lamont area July 21 when Mike Engles brought wheat into the Revere Elevator. On July 30, Mark Bowman brought wheat in from the Bill Swannack farm for the first load into the Lamont Elevator. As of this writing, 90 percent of the farmers in the area are harvesting, the wheat is producing average yield, and is of good quality.
