POMEROY – Eastern Washington lawmakers are taking issue with a move by Gov. Jay Inslee to blame oil companies for skyrocketing fuel prices. Rep. WASHTUCNA – The state Parks and Recreation Commission voted unanimously Jan. 27 to permanently close areas some hiking areas at Palouse Falls State Park. "This closure includes access to rock formation referred to as Castle Rock, the top of the main falls, access to the plunge pool and surrounding canyon walls," Parks Planner Laura Moxham said. OLYMPIA - Washington state has a lot of parks and outdoor recreation areas that require people to either pay for an annual $30 Discover Pass or $10 daily passes to visit certain areas including Washington State Parks such as Palouse Falls, Steptoe Butte, Riverside State Park, Steamboat Rock, etc. Rep. COLFAX — First responders from as far as Whidbey Island gathered in Colfax to honor long-time Colfax Fire Chief Jim Krouse as he took his last ride.
