Pomeroy's Kael Edwards topped the leaderboard with six first-place wins, a second and a third-place finish.     COLTON - Special Olympics athletes had a chance to enjoy the summer sun at "hot bocce" at the Colton Booster Gun Club on Saturday, July 13. The event also included cornhole and card games inside. The event had 92 participants and they all agreed "hot bocce" should be an annual event. When it first began in 2022, the temperature outside reached 104 degrees, hence the name "hot bocce."     TEKOA — A bicycle ride up Steptoe Butte is set for 9 a.m. this Saturday, June 29. Participants will meet at the Rosalia City Park on West 9th Street in Rosalia and will make a 52-mile trek on the backroads to Oakesdale before climbing the spiraling road up Steptoe Butte.
