PULLMAN— Pullman firefighters fought through thick black smoke Monday, Sept. 26, at the Edison Center, located at 588 Southeast Boulevard, reports say. Pullman Depot Ranked Sixth for Legislative Funding PULLMAN – The Heritage Capital Project (HCP) Advisory Panel recommended a grant award of $237,000 for the Whitman County Historical Society in their Aug. 23 meeting to rank applications for funding in the 2023-25 biennium. PALOUSE— The water main that serves the Northeast section of the north hill, Breeding’s Addition, and Fisher’s Addition in Palouse will be shut off starting Tues. Sept. 6, at approximately 8 a.m. This will last about 6 to 10 hours. COLFAX – A late summer heat wave was expected to hit much of Eastern Washington, including Whitman County, on Wednesday. In advance of the heat wave, the National Weather Service issued a heat advisory that was to remain in effect through 8 p.m. Wednesday.
