RITZVILLE — Flags will be put up to honor veterans in observance of Memorial Day at 10 a.m. Friday at the Ritzville Memorial Cemetery, followed by placement of flags at the Lutheran Cemetery, according to Jeff Kissler of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. RITZVILLE — The Washington State Patrol is planning extra patrols for the Memorial Day weekend. District 4 troopers from Ritzville, Colfax and Spokane detachments will be looking for speeding, distracted driving and seat belt violations, as well as drunken driving and other violations.
