Colfax Bulldogs Saturday will travel to St. George’s to start the third segment of the NE league competition. The game against the Dragons with be the first of four games with teams in the south half of the league. Colfax will head for St. George’s after making the long trip to Kettle Falls last Saturday to play the Kettle Bulldogs who have returned to the league this year. Colfax girls Saturday wrapped a 10-0 run in the first two rounds of the NE with a 71-37 afternoon win at Kettle Falls, again the northern most site of league competition. The Bulldogs rolled out a barrage of 31 points in the first quarter to keep their NE string on track. In preliminary results, water usage in Pullman, Moscow and Palouse increased one percent from 2013 to 2014. The Palouse Basin Aquifer Committee (PBAC) held its monthly meeting Jan. 15 on the campus of University of Idaho and went over the numbers. The lack of a surface on the Tekoa Trestle makes it unusable. Decorating of the Tekoa railroad trestle during the holiday season has led to the revival of attempts to get a surface on the trestle and make it part of the John Wayne Trail.
