    Eric Meyer of Colfax, an agent for Farmers Insurance Group, has completed the Career Agents Course at the University of Farmers and was named president of his class based on his many contributions to his fellow agents. The University of Farmers training facility, located in Agoura Hills, Calif., was officially dedicated in 2006.     DUSTY Suzy McNeilly traveled to Fredricksburg, Va., to spend a couple of days with her son Jake. They spent time visiting hanging out in bookstores, a favorite mom/son outing. Jake treated his mother to dessert at the Melting Pot. McNeilly traveled on to Camp LeJeune, N.C., to help her daughter Christina’s family move to their new posting.   • Roof project done on LaCrosse store

    LaCrosse LaCrosse Community Pride committee had a store cleanup day last Saturday as progress continues towards opening the store. The exterior roof is complete and the building has been waterproofed. Work on the interior ceiling will start soon with work on windows, wiring and flooring to follow. A proprietor who will lease the space to operate a grocery is sought. Contact any board member if interested.   • Endicott dinner-auction proceeds go to library

    Anne Lowe, president of Endicott Community Club, recently presented Caroline Morasch, left, Endicott librarian, with a check for $5,856 from proceeds of the German dinner and silent auction last November in Endicott. These funds will go toward the renovation of the present library in Endicott. Donations came from present and past residents of Endicott area.... Full story
