Pullman recently saw the grand opening of a new dental clinic. Unify Family Dental had its celebration on Jan. 8 at 1095 SE Bishop Blvd. The clinic has been open for almost three months. The 19th annual Food for Fines drive at Whitman County library began Friday and will continue through Feb. 28 at all 14 library branches. This program allows library patrons to bring nonperishable food and toiletry items into any branch of Whitman County Library and waive up to $10 in outstanding fines. Those who do not have fines are also encouraged to make a contribution. All items will be given to the food bank to be used in the community where they were collected. A charge of second-degree malicious mischief was filed Jan. 28 in superior court against Jordan Ray Kemp, 23, Pullman. Kemp has been charged with intentionally damaging his mother's minivan, which he had borrowed and neglected to return. According to the Jan. 16 investigation report by Pullman Officer Brock Germer, Kemp left the minivan in the parking lot at Dissmore's store on North Grand in Pullman. Nancy Rothwell, left, Perkins house volunteer, and Phyllis Kincaid, president of Athenaeum Club, look over three dress forms which were donated to Athenaeum and will be used to display the unique and beautiful vintage fashion pieces in the museum's collection. Volunteers at the Perkins House have been unable to properly display many of the dresses and suits in the collection.
