Steve Naught, chair of the county GOP, encouraged all Republicans to take part in their precinct caucus sessions. A study commissioned by the county’s public works department found the Carothers Road transfer station and landfill should reach maximum processing capacity by 2013. Whitman County and the city of Pullman are working to secure an estimated $15 million federal appropriation via U.S. Sen. Patty Murray for a complete rebuild and reconfiguration of the Pullman Airport Road.
