    While fashion week brought out haute couture in Paris, the real center of the fashion universe Saturday was Downtown Colfax, where 12 models took to the “runway” for a standing-room-only fashion revue at Classically Trendy.   • 'Food for fines' donors tally $1,020

    A total of 135 residents donated $1,020 in non-perishable food for the 12th annual “Food for Fines” drive conducted by Whitman County Library. Donations came in throughout Whitman County. Almost one third of the donations were not involved with waiving overdue fines. Food for Fines is conducted each February when local food pantries report more people struggling with high heat bills and difficulty feeding their families....

    Two one-day field events will be at two ranches near Benge. Saturday and Sunday, April 28 and 29.
