    The Endicott Gun Club met on Sunday, March 15, for its weekly competitive shooting. This was the last day of the winter league.     Emily Cook, Colfax, is the third person in the Inland Northwest Council of the Scouts BSA to achieve the "Summit," the highest award in scouting's Venture Crew, since the co-ed program was created in 1998.     Last weekend, Neil and Liz Appel’s older children, Josh, Noemi and Isaac, were guests of grandparents Dick and Helen Appel.     About 108 residents donated more than $700 in non-perishable food and toiletry items for the 20th annual Food for Fines drive. Donations came in throughout Whitman County with little over half of those not attached to the waiving of library fines.     SEATTLE -- The King County judge who initially blocked the $30 car-tab cap denied most of the challenges to the taxpayer-approved measure.
