    St. John senior Michal Schuster carded an 86 for a five-stroke lead in the girls’ side of the state B golf finals Tuesday at Oakbrook, and Colfax golfers Hunter Weitze and Kasey Johnson made the first day cut.     Cofax girls again rolled up a pile of points Friday to take the sixth straight track title at the District 7 qualifications at Riverside.     Raises for city employees were granted at Monday night’s Farmington City Council meeting. City Superintendent Brian Oliver’s salary was raised from $12.50 to $13 per hour while city water maintenance worker Todd Lobdell went from $300 per month to $11.67 an hour.     More than 20 Colfax FFA members will put out 250 crosses this evening (Thursday) and 250 flags on Friday evening at the Colfax Cemetery as part of the Memorial Day observance.     Bill Tensfeld of Rosalia is Whitman County’s new Emergency Management Director. He will begin his new position May 31. “I’m pretty excited,” Tensfeld said Tuesday. “It’s just a change, a change to a job I have a desire to do.” Tensfeld replaces Fran Martin who is retiring next month.     Whitman County elected officials will get more than a two percent cost of living raise next year following a recommendation by the county’s salary commission. According to Kelli Campbell, county human resources manager, the commission used a formula to determine how much the officials should get during its annual meeting last week.
