    COLFAX — Colfax High School held their senior signing ceremony Wednesday, May 17 in the Colfax gymnasium. Of the seniors who signed for collegiate activities, six of them signed letters to compete for the universities sports programs.     COLFAX — With state softball looming over the weekend, the WIAA has released their All-League honors, including MVP of the league, coach of the year, as well as first and second team recognition. The MVP was none other than Delaney Imler, senior pitcher/first base for the Colfax Bulldogs. She was stellar all season long, pitching over half of the games the Bulldogs have played this season, and was excellent hitting the bat in 2023.     COLFAX - On January 7, 1898, a mob of 20 to 30 men stormed the Whitman County Jail, in Colfax, with the intent of lynching two murder suspects. One suspect is lynched, but the other successfully fakes his own death and escapes with little injury. The Port of Whitman was awarded $1,135,475 for the Port of Whitman FTTx Project to build fiber infrastructure for approximately 104 homes on the outskirts of Palouse, Garfield, Oakesdale, Tekoa, and Rosalia.
