  • Rosalia issues call to cut water use during pump fix

    Rosalia residents Tuesday were asked to use as little water as possible after it was discovered a town pump was down. A water usage notice is still in place for residents, though the worst of it has passed, Mayor Nanette Konishi said. Rosalia has been operating with one of its two pumps out of commission.   • Relay for Life all-nighter booked for CHS track Friday

    The Relay for Life all-night event returns to Colfax Friday at the Colfax High School track. A 6 p.m. start time is on the schedule, and several activities are booked throughout the night. Master of Ceremonies Jeff Geier will conduct throughout the evening, beginning with the opening ceremonies and survivor lap at 6 p.m. at the track.     Gazette intern reporter The Crop Diagnostic Clinic will take place on June 17 at the Spillman Agronomy Farm for those interested in honing their crop production skills and improving crop management strategies.     The city of Palouse will be without a gas station for two months this summer as Busch Distributors is set to revamp the Palouse location on the south end of Main Street.     Whitman County Commissioners Monday signed a letter of intent with the Department of Revenue, declaring its intention to use any taxes from the long-stalled Hawkins project near the state line.
