Sale of a parcel of land in the Pullman Industrial Park by the Port of Whitman was recorded Thursday in a real estate transfer tax affidavit filed in the county treasurer's office. The parcel, identified as lot 8 in Pullman Industrial Park, was purchased by Daniel Merry of Billings, Mont., for $450,000, according to the affidavit. Size of the lot is 3.69 acres. Whitman County Parks posted open fire restrictions for Wawawai Park effective Monday. Campfires and smoking on trails will not be permitted within park boundaries.
