PULLMAN — The Palouse Ridge Golf Course has teamed up with the Pullman Regional Hospital to put on a golf tournament that takes place Saturday, July 8. The tournament is for golfers of all ages and skill levels. PULLMAN — The Palouse Hills Muzzleloaders event that was scheduled to happen Saturday, June 25, has been cancelled this year. Last year’s event saw rifle and pistol shooting, as well as tomahawk and knife throwing, among other outdoors events and activities. Last year, there was also a Dutch oven cook off, archery course, frying pan toss, and peewee and jackpot events. The event was all about fun, as well as competition. PULLMAN — Washington State University (WSU) and their battle with paying for athletic programs seems to take a new turn after recent voting at an Athletic Department Retreat. COLFAX — An inmate at Whitman County Jail died after he was found unresponsive in his cell. The inmate, Nicholas Bunch, 40, died over the weekend at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane. Corrections officers located Bunch unresponsive in his cell while conducting a regular round in the afternoon on Monday, June 12. Officers immediately notified EMS and began lifesaving measures.
