    Colfax PD are investigating two cases of vehicle prowl, both reported Sunday, June 21. Police responded to a report of vehicle prowl on S. East Street at 1:43 p.m. then to a report of vehicle prowl and vandalism on E. Golgotha Street. Fishing tackle and tools were taken from the vehicles, but nothing was broken in the alleged thefts.     Whitman County announced a 35th positive test today for COVID-19, the third positive this week and the sixth since June 17. Although there has been an increase in testing capabilities and frequency from that in March and April, Public health Director Troy Henderson said these tests are a "true measure" of viral activity in the county. Those periods of increased car versus deer occurrences are right after harvest and our current season, according to Public Works Director Mark Storey.     COLFAX -- The first report of a patient being hospitalized for the virus was reported June 26. One previous case was hospitalized due to complications associated with COVID-19 infection. Two new cases were announced June 29. According to the Emergency Operating Center press release, the two new cases are both males in to 40 to 59 age range, bringing the total count to 38. Of those total cases, 31 have recovered, six are isolating at home and one is hospitalized, the first time that has happened in Whitman County....
