    PALOUSE — After six years off the gridiron, new Garfield-Palouse Vikings head football coach Willy Woltering is back on the ship. Woltering coached the Vikings from 2014-2018 and has been active in football for most of his life. “I played football in high school, it’s my favorite sport,” Woltering said. “It was probably my least-best sport I was good at, but I knew the sport the best. Three teams played in the men's bracket, and four teams played in the coed tournament. For the coed bracket, the Monstars defeated Carlson Gunsmithing, 13-11, in the championship game.     PULLMAN - Reaney Park was host to the Gritman Medical 3-on-3 Lentil Festival Hoop Classic, presented by Idaho Central Credit Union on Saturday, Aug. 17.     COLFAX — Whitman County Public Health has issued a health advisory following the detection of a harmful algal bloom along the stretch of the Snake River. This advisory was prompted by a water sample taken on Friday, Aug. 16, near Granite Point, which tested positive for microcystins, a liver toxin. The harmful algal bloom has been identified intermittently in the Snake River stretch between Nisqually John Landing and Little Goose Dam.
