    Colfax runners Tuesday joined a host of schools in the memorial jamboree run at Northwest Christian. The course was made up of two loops around a mile course which featured hills on the NWC campus at Colbert, mud pits and other side distractions. Times or placings were not kept for the memorial run. Jack Ammon of host Northwest Christian led the boys’ race. The host Crusaders and Lakeside had strong team showings. Senior Tim Cornelius led the Colfax boys.     The saga of two Malden teens, missing since Aug. 21, ended last Thursday, Sept. 3, in juvenile court here when both were ordered back to detention for failing to comply with conditions ordered. They had been allowed release on a case involving a break-in at the Rosalia swim pool July 19.     The inaugural Food Olympics is set to open at this year’s Palouse Empire Fair. Taking place Saturday from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the fairgrounds’ gazebo, the event will pit four-member teams against each other, eating four individual rounds of food.
