COLFAX - Funding for the Senior Mobile Food Pantry (SMFP) program for Whitman County is being discontinued at the end of 2023. Colfax Council on Aging Executive Director Paige Collins said that the Aging and Long Term Care of Eastern Washington funded the program. COLFAX-Native David Nails, a member of the Nazarene Church in Pukalani in Maui, Hawaii, rescued an elderly couple in their 80s from the burn zone during the Maui fires. COLFAX — The Josh Wright Memorial Jamboree tournament, which took place Tuesday, Sept. 5, was the first cross country track meet of the season for the Colfax Bulldogs. The tournament is named after Josh Wright, a runner who was on the Northwest Christian team before passing away in 2010. The jamboree has since been named in his honor.
