    UNIONTOWN – They knocked on the Uniontown home front door looking for their dog, instead they found a pistol aimed at them. Two people were looking for their missing dog and stopped at a house in the 200 block of Owen Street on Sept. 24.     PULLMAN – One man died and a WSU Cougar wide receiver was injured during gunfire in Pullman on Sept. 25. More than 200 people were at a party in the 1200 block of Northeast Myrtle Street in the College Hill area.     COLTON – The Colton Wildcats clawed and fought but eventually lost to the Pomeroy Pirates in volleyball at home on Sept. 28. The first match went to Pomeroy (25-23), the second was Colton's (25-18), and the third was won by the Pirates (25-20). The fourth match was to settle it but the Wildcats won (25-20) to tie the game 2-2. The fifth match settled it with Pomeroy winning (15-8).
