    Whitman County Library will soon offer $66,000 in new digital titles as part of a grant received by the 30 libraries in the Washington Anytime Library consortium. The federal funding comes from the Library Services and Technology Act, administered through the Washington State Library. The titles are available free for download with a Whitman County Library card at the library’s website www.whitco.lib.wa.us.     St. John-Endicott 4H and FFA members will raise money for the Community Stock Show premium and support fund with a chili feed and silent auction Oct. 13 from 5-8 p.m. at the St. John Community Building. The comfort food dinner will include chili, cinnamon roll, salad and a drink for $6. This event is hosted by the 4H and FFA to support exhibit funds lost from the state fair system.     Since 1887, the Lutheran community of Endicott has been married, baptized, confirmed and worshiped with Trinity Lutheran Church. The church is celebrating its 125th anniversary this Sunday with a special service inside the purple nave and a potluck birthday party.     Sheriff’s Sgt. Jodene Hamilton Young, who was seriously injured in a collision just north of the fairgrounds a year ago, and her spouse have filed a damage suit against the other driver involved in the accident and the Washington Rural Counties Insurance Pool. The suit said the amount of damages sustained by the couple will be determined at the time of trial.     The trial date for L. Travis Carlon, Pine City area resident, has been delayed until after the February murder trials of Frank and Daniel Lazcano. The Lazcanos have been charged with the shooting death of Marcus Schur, Rosalia, last Dec. 27 in Malden. Carlon has been charged with rendering criminal assistance to the Lazcanos. Prosecutor Denis Tracy told the court Friday morning Carlon is expected to be a witness in the Lazcano trials. The brothers have been scheduled for separate trials.
