The Port of Whitman County met virtually with commissioners and staff from the Port of Clarkston and the Port of Lewiston with each sharing some positive news in a regular Pioneer Ports meeting Monday night. “It was an amazing harvest this year,” David Doeringfield, Port of Lewiston commissioner, said in his report. COLFAX – After more people tried to sign up than time slots available, three more influenza vaccine clinics have been scheduled for Whitman County library branches. The curbside adult and senior vaccines are administered by Deanna Claybaugh, Whitman County Health Department community health nurse. Appointments are set 15 minutes apart to allow for disinfecting. COLFAX - The 29th Annual Morgan Family Plowing Bee drew many old-time tractors, including four 60 Caterpillar tractors. The event was Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Kennedy Place. Pearl Mildred Royer, 97, Longtime Prosser Washington resident, passed away on October 15, 2020, at TenderCare Home in Clarkston, Washington. Pearl was born in Prosser on August 14, 1923, to Paul and JoHanna (Soberg) Nordby. She attended Prosser and Grandview schools and graduated from Grandview High School with the class of 1941. GENESEE – The Genesee High School football season ended after a player tested positive for COVID-19 last Saturday. I am writing in opposition of Referendum 90. This is a sex education bill that is inappropriate for K-12 children.
