Robert Repp, 90, retired Whitman County assessor, died Thursday, Oct. 24, at Whitman Health and Rehab in Colfax. The family plans a private service at the Colfax cemetery. Repp, who worked for the county his whole adult life, was appointed assessor at age 39 and served until he retired in 1994 at the age of 66. He was born April 27, 1929, to Reinhold and Mathilda Litzenberger Repp and raised on the family place on Lee Road. Jerilee Stanton, Colfax resident for 27 years, died of cancer, Oct. 3 at her home in Colfax at the age of 73. Born June 2, 1946, to Gerald and Rhea Brandon Douglas in Riverside, Calif., she attended schools in Riverside and graduated from Poly High School. She attended Riverside City College where she studied dental hygiene. She and Richard Stanton were married in October of 1973 at Riverside, and they had two sons. William Rogers Eckhart, 71, died Oct. 22, at his home in Riverside, Calif. He was born to John and Julia Eckhart Dec. 12, 1940, in Colfax. He was a great-great-grandson of Cashup Davis, who came to Whitman County from Petaluma, Calif. He grew up in Oakesdale, graduated from Oakesdale High School in 1957, and served in the US Army for several years until he was honorably discharge in 1961. William T. (Bill) Bennett of Connell, Wash., passed on to the great cattle ranch in the sky on Monday October 21, 2019, at the age of 91. He was one of the greatest cattlemen of our time. Minnie Lou Schuman passed away peacefully on October 16, 2019. She was born on July 22, 1925, in Winthrop, Wash., to Norval Morrow and Oda Peters.
