    Colfax fire and rescue crews responded to a report of a man who had fallen into the S. Palouse River Channel on the upstream side of the South Main bridge at 7:27 p.m. Friday. The man told rescuers he had climbed over the fence and fell down the channel bank. It was at the same location which was used for the Concrete River Days race entrants to slide down into the channel.     Homestead Ministries Friday partnered with Ambrose Christian School in Meridian, Idaho, to make up 10,800 bags of soup totaling more than 80,000 servings with the help of grades K-12, 30 local volunteers and Idaho Governor Butch Otter.
