    The WSU Robotics Club will visit LaCrosse Saturday for a day full of learning and fun. The club will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the school with several robots and other activities for the Robotics Day. “They are going to take over several areas of the school,” said science teacher Matt Wysock.     Continuing in their efforts to be unified, The Downtown Association, Chamber of Commerce, Arts Council and Historic Preservation Commission have launched a new website for Colfax. The website combines all the groups into one site and features events happening in Colfax, the community calendar and things to do in Colfax. “This will be all four groups,” said Unified Executive Director Valoree Gregory. “The only group that really had their own website was the Chamber.” The previous Chamber website will be deactivated.     Whitman County Commissioners have approved a public hearing set for Dec. 21 for a potential code change, stemming from the Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport realignment's wetlands reclamation project. The change would allow topsoil or subsoil – clay, silt, sand and gravel – to be deposited on agricultural land with only an administrative conditional use review, as opposed to a permit.     A pending grant has been approved for the city of Colfax to aid in the school district's effort to fund improvements to the athletic complex. City hall was informed last Friday that the town was named for a $250,000 Washington State Recreation Conservation Office grant, slated to be used for restrooms at Schmuck Park, and bleachers, turf and/or goalposts at the Colfax High School athletic complex.     The Port of Whitman County had a full agenda for their regular meeting Nov. 23, and many construction projects were on the list. Port staffer Kara Riebold reported to the commissioners about three projects, including the Boyer Park & Marina expansion and the Wilma Rail Project.     The longtime Tekoa Christmas Fund is underway for another year. The program distributes food vouchers during the week of Christmas to Tekoa Market, paid for by donations to a local bank, which are then totaled and divided by the number of applicants. Each adult and child receives the same amount. Annual vouchers given average about $30.
