According to the Whitman County Sheriff’s office, on Friday, Nov. 29, a resident of North Cedar Street confronted a masked man hauling a generator through a neighbor’s yard. PALOUSE — Two men were safely rescued Thanksgiving night, Thursday, Nov. 28, after their SUV crashed into the Palouse River under the State Route 27 bridge, according to local authorities.
