Dusty Wednesday, Jan 9, nine members of the Dusty B.B. Club, and two guests, Alice and Margaret Mackleit, met in the parish hall at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in LaCrosse to make baby blankets for the free maternity clinic at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane. Seventy blankets were produced that day plus Dianne Appel had seven she had made earlier. The next meeting will be February 13th. Lacrosse The Student of Character assembly for December was held Friday in the pit. It opened with the “try” award which was given to Gunnar Aune and Matt Stubbs. Academic improvement award was given to Mashayla Morris-Miller. Mr. Curtis shared that the school had placed second in overall academic achievement in the state out of 295 school districts.
