St. John Entry days next week will launch the St. John Community Fair which will continue through next weekend. Entry day for open youth art and crafts will be Tuesday, April 26, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. in the home economics building. Judging for these entries will be the next day, April 27. Grain shipped down the chutes from the high bluffs to the steamboat landings on Sanke River last year was so badly injured by the friction that it sold at less than half price in Portland. Dusty Dusty saw a first in its history Sunday. Five traffic jams in one day at the intersection of Highways 26 and 127. Five of the 160 foot long blades for the wind farm being built on the hills above Dodge, had to make a 90 degree turn from Highway 26 to 127.
