Whitman County Health Ranks Third Whitman County ranked third among the state’s 39 counties in a county-by-county health survey released late last week. San Juan County has the healthiest residents and Ferry County the least healthy, according to the survey by the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. About $60 worth of food was raised and donated to the local food bank during the food for fines drive at Endicott, Librarian Caroline Morasch reported. The annual penny drive to fund children’s programs will continue through April 16. All the money raised during the penny drive will benefit children’s programs throughout the year. Art has always been a passion for Nancy Wriggle. While growing up in Newport she loved to paint.
