    Lamont Rick and Kris Ann Bulcroft of Vancouver, B.C., arrived in Lamont Saturday, March 18, to visit Kris Ann’s mother, Nita Polda, and brother, Matthew. On Sunday, other family members and friends arrived to see the Bulcrofts. They included Kon and Janet Lamparter, Frank and Myrna Rehn and Scott and Bonny Rehn, all of Spokane, and Hugh and Evelyn Kreamer of Sprague. Rick and Kris Ann returned home Tuesday.     LaCrosse The 10th annual LaCrosse Schools academic banquet was Monday, March 28. It was catered by Nancy Meise. Guest speaker was Lois Startin, LaCrosse graduate from the class of 1977. Lois spoke about being a student at LaCrosse and its influence on her life from her fellow classmates and community residents. Students qualifying to attend the banquet were seniors Hillary Bennett, Teresa Casey and Taylor Weekes.     The sixth annual penny drive at Whitman County Library will be March 28-April 16 in honor of National Library Week. Each of the 14 library branches will collect money to fund programs or projects. National Library Week is a statewide observance sponsored by the American Library Association and libraries across the country.     Rosalia girls basketball team wrapped up their season with a potluck dinner March 11. Coached by Dave St. John and Tysen Blank, the girls post a 15-9 records in the SE 1B league. The team grade average was 3.63. Senior Kaileigh Wendt, received the inspirational and captains award. Samantha Barnes, the other senior on the team was credited for her hard work.
