Born Nov. 24, 1911, in Colfax, to William and Pearl Lee, she was raised in Penawawa, where her family had an orchard. A 1932 graduate of Colfax High School, Esther married Clark D. Thrift Shop will support 6 agencies The Thrift Shop in the Community Congre-gational United Church of Christ in Pullman this year will donate a portion of its profits to Pullman United Way, Pullman Child Welfare, Community Action Center, WSU Interfaith House, N-Sid-Sen Camp on Lake Coeur d'Alene, and Alternatives to Violence. Oakesdale Everyone is welcome to attend an 82nd birthday party for Wanda Roper at the Fire Station in Oakesdale, Sunday, Nov. 21, at 1 p.m. The event is hosted by her children and grandchildren.
