Whitman County Library celebrated Read Across America Monday and Tuesday by making a stop at Jennings Elementary School with Dr. Seuss books and stickers. A surprise visit by the library’s reading bear was a gigantic hit. OAKESDALE Oakesdale’s all-school reunion committee will meet Sunday at 6 p.m. at the Oakesdale museum. They are still looking for volunteers to help out on some of the committees. Students in Rosalia’s ag education department have constructed another robot to enter the regional robotics event at Key Arena in Seattle March 25-27. The game this year is entitled Breakaway and presents a very complicated mechanical challenge, according to Dee Peterschick, advisor. Robots will be required to kick a soccer ball. Relay for Life plans March 25 kick-off Whitman County Relay for Life has scheduled a kickoff event for March 25 at 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Colfax. The relay has been scheduled for July 9-10 at the Colfax High School track. Eric-E to perform at Dahmen Barn Tenor and guitarist Eric-E will perform a solo concert at the Dahmen Barn Hay Loft Hall Saturday, March 20, at 7:30 p.m. He has been a full-time performer since 1985. Witches practice for Gar/Pal comedy Addy Hamilton, Becky Nelson, and Missy Johnson practice their roles as witches for “MacBeth,” a comedy about a high school boy and his infatuation with Shakespeare’s Macbeth.
