    Lamont Brent Wecker of Napa, Idaho, son of Nancy Stromberger Wecker and Eldon Wecker, of Meridan visited with his grandparents, Dan and Jean Stromberger Saturday afternoon. Brent drove over from Moscow, Idaho, where he is working for 10 days to completely renovate a swimming pool at a fitness center there. Overnight guests, Friday, at the home of Allen and Diane Cook, were their daughter, Sandi Miller, and grandchildren, Logan and Kristen, Kahlotus.     Tekoa The Republican Caucus was held recently in Tekoa at the home of Bunny Bippes. Amendments to the Republican platform were discussed and sent on to the county chairman, Steve Naught of St. John. Among the topics discussed were amendments including repealing the mail-in vote, the possibility of buying health insurance across state lines and opposing the requirement that employees must be required to join unions at their job sites.     Dusty Rick Bates of Bragg Creek, Alberta, Canada, has been visiting the Broeckel/Gustafson homestead for the last two weeks. He will help with spring work for awhile.     Lacrosse LaCrosse Business Association will meet March 3 to begin planning for this year’s Farmers Festival which will be Saturday, June 19.
