    LaCrosse Norma Gibson, Ron Hopkins and Mike Stine competed on the Whitman County Cougars team in the special Olympic tournament at Zeppos Saturday, Oct 31. Norma and Mike received gold medals and Ron won a silver medal. The raffle to benefit the Drew Swank family was drawn at halftime of the football game last Friday evening. The winner of a night at the Holiday Inn Express in Spokane and a $100 gift certificate to Klinkerdaggers was Dionne Evans. The raffle reportedly raised approximately $1,200 to benefit the family.     Adams County Soils Conservation District hosted the Adams County Land Judging contest Oct. 20. Nearly 200 students from 12 schools traveled to Ritzville to compete in this contest, making up 39 teams. The contest consisted of four pits which were evaluated and classified.
