Marilyn was a former Dusty area resident for many years. She and her husband Ralph, raised three daughters here, Elisabeth, Rachel and Jessica. She passed away June 29.     Brian Jones has announced that due to an untimely frost, there are no apricots or peaches for sale at Warm Springs Ranch this year. A late frost around Mother’s Day killed off the crop. Temperatures hit 28 degrees. Jones said he can’t remember ever losing the whole crop before. The orchard has lost some of its yield in the past, but never to point it won’t open.   • High winds cause damage

    Power outages this weekend were the result of high winds around noon on Sunday, leaving many homes without electricity until about 6 a.m. Monday. A large uprooted tree fell on the roof at Dale and Vicki Broeckel’s home causing extensive damage. The home at the Alkali Flat Arena sustained roof damage with loss of shingles.
