Dusty Mark and Kathy Vogler had a great Christmas with their children, Cari and Henry Vogler and Anna, Chad and Iris Assareh home for the holiday. Dusty Country Bible Church’s Women’s Fellowship met for lunch last Wednesday at Events on Main in Colfax. It was their end of the year event. Eight women enjoyed the luncheon. Dusty David and Phyllis Stueckle attended the Washington State Farm Bureau Convention in Yakima from Tuesday to Thursday last week. Dusty Steve and Fran Maki have their own version of ObamaCare. Last week, Steve bought an ambulance that belonged to the town of Deary, Idaho. He had to remove the siren and the Deary sign on the side of the vehicle, but the flashing lights and police scanner still operate. Dusty Art and Colene Sager spent last week in Kona, Hawaii, with Art’s brother and wife, Floyd and Linda Sager from Boise. The Sagers flew their plane to Boise so that the two couples could travel together on the airline. Saturday, on their way home from Boise, Art and Colene stopped in Midvale, Idaho, and visited Colene’s 98 year old aunt and her cousin and wife who care for the aunt. Dusty Jon and Li Ochs recently spent a weekend in Victoria, B.C., where they visited their daughter, Allisha, and her three year old son Cole. While there, Li ran the 8 K leg of the Victoria Marathon and came in fourth in her age group, less than a minute off the group’s first place finisher. They also rode bikes and played on the beach. Dusty Sunday, Selbu Lutheran Church welcomed the Daughters of Norway from the Freya Lodge in Spokane for the morning worship services. About 30 women, dressed in Norwegian attire, attended services and were guests at a luncheon later in the church basement where Pastor Cross presented a video of pictures of the town of Selbu, Norway, and members of the church’s congregation. Dusty Alex Urtaza and Renee Crocker left Friday for their home in Las Cruces, New Mexico, after spending two weeks at the home of Bryan Jones. Alex, who is Bryan’s cousin, drove truck during harvest and helped with haying. Renee was able to drive truck when needed, herd cows, mow lawns and sell peaches. Dusty Art and Colene Sager just completed a cross country trip in their airplane, a Mooney M20C. In 36 hours of flying time, they saw Mt. Rushmore, an Indianapolis Nascar Race and Niagra Falls. In between time, they spent a week in western Pennsylvania at a time share condo and three days at the International Flying Farmer Convention in Indianapolis.
