    Dusty Friday, Linda Hennigar was at the Latah County Fair to watch two great-nieces, a great-nephew and a great-great-nephew show their animals. Taylor Carpenter, Kennedy and Cooper Thompson and Karson Hatch had steers and a pig in the Fitting and Showing classes. All are from the Potlatch area.     Dusty Jasmin Watson, daughter of Marc Watson and Judy Watson, was a member of the LaCrosse High School FFA team which won the Palouse Empire Fair livestock judging contest. She placed first. Other team members placings were Alynn Harder, third, Trey Fleming, sixth, Braden Miller, 10th. Lauren Stubbs, TJ Harder and Genevieve McGregor were also on the team.   • Sheep readied for fair

    Dusty Steve and Fran Maki’s daughter Sarah from Moses Lake was here this weekend to help kids shear their sheep in preparation for the county fair. About 15 kids from around the area brought their lambs to be worked on. Last Thursday, Fran and Steve went to the Kittitas Fair in Ellensburg to watch Sarah judge the sheep classes. Steve Camp and his son, Tony, went salmon fishing in Puget Sound last Thursday and Friday. Tony lives in Olympia. They caught three fish.     Dusty Granddaughters Cherie Myrick of Roy and Deanna Myrick of Spanaway were luncheon guests of Lucky and Joan Myrick on Saturday. The afternoon was spent with grandma making alterations on Cherie’s wedding dress. They returned to their dad’s (Rich Myrick) home in Moses Lake in the evening.     Dusty Art and Colene Sager just returned from a week in Minneapolis, Minn. While there, they attended the International Flying Farmer Convention. Highlights of the convention included touring the Vikings football stadium where the next Super Bowl will be played, a river boat trip on the Mississippi River including going through the locks and a tour of the original Gold Medal Flour mill which has been made into a museum, showing working conditions and equipment during earlier days. Four-year-old Iris Assareh spent seven days helping her grandfather, Mark Vogler, with harvest. Iris was accompanied by her parents, Anna and Chad, and brother Owen, one year old.     Dusty Over the weekend, Tom and Doreen Riedner attended the Riedner Family Reunion in Colton. More than 150 aunts, uncles and cousins attended.     Dusty Heather Heaton Reynoso and sons arrived at the home of Blake and Carmen Heaton last week from Mexico City where they had been visiting family and friends. They will be here through the summer. Sunday evening, Blake and Carmen Heaton hosted “A Concert in the Backyard.” Grandson Valente Reynoso played guitar and sang for an audience of about 30 people.     Dusty Recently, Blake and Carmen Heaton spent 10 days with daughter and grandsons, Heather, Valente, Jeronimo and Xico in Islamorada, Fla. They attended Valente and Jeronimo’s last spring football game. This is the second season for them to play American football and both will be on varsity in the fall. They also attended Xico’s last baseball game, at which his team won the league championship and Xico qualified for the All-Star game.     Dusty Li and Jon Ochs hosted an art workshop at their home organized by their daughter Nadia Wilson this past weekend. Sixteen people from the western side of the state arrived on Friday to participate in classes on watercolor, acrylic painting and photography taught by three teachers, two from the Northwest Art Center.
