    Endicott Catherine the Great: Germany and Russia 250 Year Tour was just completed by several people from the Endicott area including Willard and Anne Lowe, Jerine Gray, Don and Chris Kackman, Orle and Carol Hannas, Connie (Lust) and Steve Taylor, Richard Scheuerman and 19 other tourists with Germans from Russia relatives.     Endicott The Fourth of July in Endicott by the end of the evening brought hundreds of people for the fireworks. The planning part of the Fourth was done by the Endicott Community Club with Gail Bilow being the head of the committee.     Endicott Bob Curry just returned from his annual scuba diving trip. He has been diving with the same group of friends for four years. Past trips have involved living on a boat for the whole week visiting the Caribbean islands. The trip this summer involved flying to Roatan, an island on the northern coast of Honduras, then taking a small plane 26 miles to the very small island of Utila.     Endicott Aaron Krantz from Endicott School was recently diagnosed with cancer. The teachers and staff worked together to host a benefit dinner. The school served 142 people and raised more than $3,000. Community members began dropping off donations early Friday morning and donations continued coming into the school this week.     Endicott Endicott is gearing up this week for the town-wide garage sale, which will be on Saturday, May 18, from 8 a.m. until noon. Maps of garage sale places will be available at the Endicott Food Center for people to pick up. To keep buyers going during the sale, the Community Club will have a bake sale at Endicott Food Center with all proceeds going to Relay For Life.     Endicott Margaret Schmick’s pre-school class and helpers strolled one block from their classroom at the Endicott School to the garden of Sharon Huff to plant potatoes and onions April 18. Every year pre-schoolers make this trek in the spring. In September they again go to the garden to harvest the potatoes and onions.     Endicott Tom Byers and Don Lust were best neighbors and friends for a lot of years. Tom spotted a broken bench by the grocery store and decided to restore it for use. So, he took it home, welded, painted and replaced the wood in memory of Don Lust. It even took on Cougar colors, since both men are Cougar fans. This is the result: a Cougar colored bench with a memorial placque that reads “In Memory of Don Lust.” People using that bench can remember Tom and Don working around town on a multitude of projects for the community.
