Hooper Lane Hannas won the All Around buckle in his age group at the Primeland Jr. rodeo Saturday in Lewiston. Caleb Hannas hunted with his dad, brother and grandpa, Orle Hannas, of St. John last weekend in the Blue Mountains and got an elk. Hooper Betty and Conly Merritt are hosting Cathy and Wayne Randle of Fox Island and Ken and Nancy Gould of Port Orchard for the week of hunting season. Anna May Tobin hosted granddaughter Amanda Kampf, of Olympia and Brady Philips of Colfax for lunch Thursday. On Friday she traveled to the home of Terry and Helen Tobin for the evening. Hooper Howard and Pat Morris spent Oct. 3-4 visiting daughter Angela Morris and her husband Larry Savage and granddaughter Emma Savage of Wenatchee. On Saturday they traveled to Roslyn and met Howard’s sister and brother-in-law, Nancy Morris and Alan Jedlow of Richmond Beach. Sunday, Howard and Pat joined family celebrating the baptism of granddaughter Grace Morris at St. Joseph’s Church in LaCrosse. Hooper The first annual “Ladies Only Foo Foo Clinic/Challenge” was Sept. 13 at Hooper Crossing Ranch. Keith and Carla Danielson hosted the event which started off with Susie McNeilly giving an hour long “ Cowgirl Yoga” class, followed by three hours of horsemanship instructions by Keith and a salad for lunch. Hooper Dave, Sharon, Caleb, and Lane Hannas attended the Fair, where the boys had market and feeder steers. Lane’s entry won grand champion for 4H Market Steer. Jessica, Abby, Genevieve, Lillian, and Olivia McGregor spent several days at the Palouse Empire Fair last week. Abby showed breeding stock and took overall open breeding champion ribbons. Among them were Alex and Linda McGregor of Pullman, Andy, Sue, and Melissa McGregor of Port Townsend, Mary McGregor and John Bolles of Moscow and Kailey McGregor of Walla Walla. Hooper Keith and Carla Danielson of Hooper, Marilyn Bafus of Endicott, and Laurie DeYoung of Issaquah traveled to Baker City, Ore., Aug. 1 and 2 where Keith competed in the Craig Cameron EXCA Oregon State Championships. He placed second and third on his Hooper Crossing horses and now qualifies for the North Pacific Regional championship back in Baker City Sept. 26-27.
