Water pressure along the hill on the east side of Tekoa is so low residents there are having difficulty watering lawns at this time of year. The drop in water pressure also limits normal household use, Duane Groom, Tekoa public work director, reported to the Tekoa city council at their July 20 meeting.
“If we’re watering [outside] there’s not a whole lot else that can go on,” said Linda Zehm, a city council member who lives in the neighborhood which includes Tekoa High School.
