Hanson gets commission

Cristina M. Hanson, a 2003 graduate of Garfield-Palouse High School, has been commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army after completing Army Reserve Officer Training Corps program and graduating with a bachelor’s degree from Washington State University. She is the daughter of Virgil and Doreen Hanson of Palouse.

She is now participating in the gold bar recruiting program at Pullman and will depart early next year for Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo. for 16 weeks of military police training.
