A Dusty community yard sale will be on two consecutive Saturdays, Aug. 15 and Aug. 22, at one site, the grass at the Dusty Store. Time will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Those wishing to participate are asked to bring your own table and chairs and will need to pay a fee of $5. Shirley Eggers is hosting a Penawawa reunion at 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 8, at the orchard at Warm Springs Ranch on the Snake River. Anyone who ever lived in Penawawa, knew anyone from Penawawa, wanted to be from Penawawa, or just likes the name Penawawa, is welcome to attend.
Angela Broeckel and daughters Alex and Sami went to Mountain Home, Idaho, over the weekend to visit their parents/grandparents, Guenter and Brigitte Scherwinski, and to pick up son/brother Graham who had spent most of the summer with his father’s family in Utah.
Norm and Gloria Erickson took a trip to Oregon from Thursday to Saturday of last week. They went through Bend, Madras, Condon, Eugene and Crater Lake. They spent the night with friends Gene and Rhoda Rubey in Eugene, whom they hadn’t seen in about 20 years.
Kim and Cindy Pitts were in Spokane Sunday to visit a new grandson, Tate Carlson, his brother Rafe and parents Amanda and Erik Carlson.
